Join Cows and Fish and the Fish Creek Watershed Association for a willow harvest and riparian planting day in the McLean Creek Public Land Use Zone, the upper headwaters of Fish Creek. Volunteers will learn more about willow harvesting and simple bioengineering approaches for streambank rehabilitation. Free hot lunch provided. This is a fully outdoor event. Please come dressed appropriately for the weather. No washroom facilities on site.
Please register in advance by clicking here. We will be meeting at the McLean Creek Campers Centre parking lot (3 McLean Creek Trail, Bragg Creek, AB), located in the McLean Creek Public Land Use Zone in Kananaskis Country.
Please bring the following items:
- Rubber boots or waterproof hiking boots are required.
- Appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear that will likely get wet and dirty
- Water bottle and snacks
- Hot water thermos and/or travel mug
- Face mask required
- Hand snips and loppers (optional)
- Work gloves (optional)
