Since its creation in 1992, Cows and Fish has delivered presentations, field days and workshops to over 92,200 people across Alberta and Canada. We’ve also completed more than 2670 riparian health assessment sites in Alberta since 1996 on streams, rivers, lakes and wetlands. By building a common language about the value and functions of riparian areas, landowners and communities can work together on the management of these key components of the landscape.
Cows and Fish strives to provide better information to producers, other landowners, resource managers and the general public through presentations, field days, workshops and riparian health monitoring to promote an understanding of practical solutions to the management of riparian areas.
