Beavers chew trees to use them for food and building materials, which can present a challenge in shared landscapes. In this workshop, participants will gain practical skills like, how to  install protective wire mesh around trees, ensuring both the protection of vegetation and peaceful coexistence with local beaver populations in the nearly established Gray Park Natural Area. The goal of the workshop is to protect some of the Natural Area’s trees while also allowing beavers to utilize some, supporting a healthy beaver population.
