The 2025 Angling Fair is a fun event for anglers of all ages and abilities, or those simply looking to learn more about Alberta’s native trout species through fun outdoor activities!

The Alberta Native Trout Collaborative is excited to host the 3rd Angling Fair in Calgary!

Interested in fly fishing? Looking to grow your skills as a responsible angler or outdoor recreationist? Curious to learn more about native trout in Alberta?

The Angling Fair is the place to be!

Visit interactive booths hosted by different Alberta-based organizations, ranging from fly fishing shops to conservation organizations. Visitors can test their fish ID skills, learn proper handling techniques, and even try a fly-casting lesson. Angling Fair ‘passports’ ensure visitors travel to the different booths, leave with exciting new information, and get entered into a raffle prize draw.

Located near the Bow Habitat Station in Pearce Estate Park (1440 17a St SE, Calgary, AB T2G 4T9) on Saturday August 16th from 10:00am – 3:00pm.

This event is free, outdoors, and registration is not necessary to attend. It is financially supported by the Alberta Conservation Association and Fisheries and Ocean Canada.
