Bergen Pasture Management Field Day

Learn more about riparian areas, grazing management techniques, common weeds and programs available to support your conservation goals!

9:30am – Meet at the Bergen Community Hall for coffee and introductions, an update will be provided on Conservation programs available through Legacy Land Trust and Mountain View County to facilitate environmental protection and enhancement

10:30am – Travel to nearby field site and be outdoors for the rest of the day (weather permitting)

12:00pm – A box lunch is included in registration

2:30pm – Return to the hall, the day will wrap up

Topics in the field will include:

Cows & Fish – Riparian Health, how to measure and improve, plant ID

Grey Wooded Forage Association – Grazing management solutions in upland pastures, recap on Canada thistle stem-mining weevil project

Mountain View County – Weed control and programs available to support landowners
